I don’t like that taste of sugar pushed all over the place, so I started to make my own. The sugar can be caramelized to make it rich and not too sweet. Depending on your mood, you can add cayenne pepper or more black pepper to make it spicy, and depending on the type of meat you use, you can change the mixture a little bit to make your own original BBQ sauce.

I’m sure there will be more BBQs outside in the coming season. I made it! This time I made it for pork spare ribs, but it also goes well with chicken wings, steak, chicken wings, and bacon.

If your cooking is always Japanese style and you want to expand your repertoire, please give this recipe a try.

<div class="wp-block-wpzoom-recipe-card-block-recipe-card is-style-default header-content-align-left block-alignment-left" pan, caramelize 50 ml of water and brown sugar. Add the canned tomatoes just before the water runs off and they burn. The trick to caramelizing is not to stir. Once the water is gone, it will caramelize instantly, so be careful not to burn it.

After adding the canned tomatoes, add all the other seasonings and simmer over medium heat. If you like it sweet, add more sugar; if you like it sour, add more vinegar or mustard; if you like it spicy, add more chili pepper, etc. Simmer for about 20 minutes, and when the water has reduced and the sauce has become soft, it is ready.

Before you start making the sauce, brown the spare ribs and take them out once, and after 10 minutes of simmering the sauce, put them back in the pan and simmer until they are cooked through, and you have a BBQ sauce for spare ribs.

Of course, it’s BBQ sauce, so it’s a big deal at the BBQ!
